Abstract To provide a tapered roller bearing that has excellent seizure resistance, as well as a long life and high durability.SOLUTION: In a tapered roller bearing, at least any one of an outer ring 11, an inner ring 13, and a plurality of tapered rollers 12 includes a nitrogen-enriched layer 11B, 12B, 13B. An oil-holding recess 14A is formed in a large annular part 107 of a cage 14. When a set radius of curvature of a roller large end face 16 of the tapered roller 12 is R, and a distance from an apex of a cone angle of the tapered roller 12 to a large collar face 18 of the inner ring 13 is R, a ratio R/Rof the set radius of curvature R to the distance Ris 0.75 or greater and 0.87 of less.
