Abstract To provide a method of manufacturing a pipe joint capable of stably supporting an insert member in a mold.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a pipe joint provided with a connecting portion having a screw portion is a method of manufacturing a first header piece including a third connection portion 17 having a screw portion 16, in which the screw portion 16 is formed with an insert member 35 different from a pipe joint body 11 constituting the first header piece, a molten resin is injected from a gate 57 of a mold 50 into a cavity 53 in the mold 50 to mold the pipe joint body 11 after the insert member 35 is disposed in the mold 50 when molding the first header piece, then, the mold 50 is opened, then, in the connection portion 17, the first header piece is manufactured by extracting the mold 50, and the insert member 35 is disposed so that an inner space faces the gate 57 of the mold 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】 インサート部材を金型内において安定して支持できる管継手の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 ねじ部16を有する第3の接続部17を備えた第1ヘッダーピースの製造方法であって、第1ヘッダーピースを構成する管継手本体11とは別のインサート部材35でねじ部16を形成し、第1ヘッダーピースの成形時に金型50内にインサート部材35を配置した後、金型50のゲート57から金型50内のキャビティ53に溶融樹脂を射出して管継手本体11を成形し、次いで金型50を型開きし、次いで接続部17においては金型50を抜き出すことで第1ヘッダーピースを製造し、インサート部材35は内空間が金型50のゲート57に対向して配置されている。【選択図】 図10
