Abstract To provide a display device capable of improving light extraction efficiency, while stabilizing brilliance.SOLUTION: A display device includes a board, a first insulator film, a first electrode, a second insulator film, a luminous layer, and a second electrode. The first insulator film includes at least one recess including a first bottom face and an inclined first lateral face. The first electrode is provided on the recess. The second insulator film is provided on the first electrode. The luminous layer includes a second bottom face brought into contact with a part of the first electrode, and an inclined second lateral face. The second electrode is provided on the luminous layer. The recess is deeper than a thickness of the luminous layer, and the second insulator film is thicker than the depth of the recess.
