Abstract To provide an image reading apparatus in which a position of a light guide member can be easily adjusted, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus includes: an LED substrate 60 on which a plurality of LEDs is arranged in a longitudinal direction; a light guide 70, having contact surfaces 71a, 71b, for guiding light emitted from the plurality of LEDs; a CCD that photoelectrically converts reflected light of a sheet that receives light emitted from the light guide 70 to read image information; and a base portion 80 having slopes 86a, 86b, arranged in different positions in the longitudinal direction, for supporting the contact surfaces 71a, 71b of the light guide 70, respectively.
