Abstract | To provide a disk brake capable of smoothly extracting air during filling of brake fluid.SOLUTION: A cylinder bore 35 which slidably stores a piston 21 pressing one of a pair of pads 3, 4 and to which brake fluid pressure is supplied, and a bleeder hole 122 which communicates the cylinder bore 35 with the outside are formed in a caliper 5. An inner bottom surface 38 of the cylinder bore 35 includes a deep bottom surface 201, and a shallow bottom surface 202 formed between the deep bottom surface 201 and the bleeder hole 122 and arranged so that a gap between a confronting portion of the piston 21 and the shallow bottom surface 202 is narrower than a gap between the confronting portion of the piston 21 and the deep bottom surface 201.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
