To enable a client to appropriately receive an image from a camera.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus executing receiving processing for receiving video from an external device determines whether or not the apparatus receives a video stream from the external device within a predetermined time from when the apparatus transmits a stream request for requesting the video stream to the external device.
