Abstract | To provide a power equipment management device and a management method that can reliably detect a failure even in the case of a high-resistance ground fault, and can be realized inexpensively.SOLUTION: A power equipment management device comprises a power equipment device for measuring power supplied to a power feeding section of a railway track, and a power equipment management device linked to an operation management device having operation information on a train traveling on the railway track to determine a failure that has occurred in the power feeding section of the railway track. The power equipment management device has a power consumption calculation function of estimating power consumption by the train in the power feeding section of the railway track at a predetermined time using the train operation information of the operation management device, and a power comparison and determination function of, for the same power feeding section of the railway track and the same predetermined time, comparing the estimated power consumption from the power consumption calculation function with measured power consumption from the power equipment device, and determining a failure that has occurred in the power feeding section of the railway track.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
