Summary:To provide a solar battery module having a sealing material layer composed of a thermosetting seal-material sheet including polyethylene as a base resin, in which crosslink sufficiently progresses in the sealing material layer, and the amount of outgas present therein is adequately reduced.SOLUTION: A solar battery module 1 comprises: a surface-side protecting substrate 2; a backside protecting substrate 5; a solar battery element 4; and a sealing material layer 3 for sealing the solar battery element 4 between the surface-side protecting substrate 2 and the backside protecting substrate 5. In the solar battery module 1, the sealing material layer 3 comprises seal-material sheets 31, 32 including polyethylene of a density of 0.865 g/cmor more and 0.900 g/cmor less, as a base resin, and having a gel fraction of 65% or more and 80% or less; and the amount of outgas that presents in the sealing material layer 3 is 1.81 μg/g or less in terms of toluene.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ポリエチレンをベース樹脂とする熱硬化系の封止材シートからなる封止材層を備える太陽電池モジュールにおいて、封止材層の架橋が十分に進んでいて、尚且つ、それに内在するアウトガス量も十分に抑制されている太陽電池モジュールを提供することこと。【解決手段】表面側保護基材2と、裏面側保護基材5と、太陽電池素子4と、太陽電池素子4を表面側保護基材2と裏面側保護基材5との間において封止する封止材層3と、を含んでなる太陽電池モジュール1であって、封止材層3は、密度0.865g/cm3以上0.900g/cm3以下のポリエチレンをベース樹脂とし、ゲル分率が65%以上80%以下である封止材シート31、32からなり、封止材層3に内在するアウトガス量が、トルエン換算で1.81μg/g以下である、太陽電池モジュール1とする。【選択図】図1
