PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of preventing the display of a part of moving image data, reproduced from a recording medium by a source device, from being missed when displaying the moving image data in a sink device.SOLUTION: A communication device (100) has reproduction means for reproducing moving image data from a recording medium, transmission means for transmitting the moving image data to an external display device, and determination means for determining whether or not the external display device is displaying an image.
