Abstract | To provide an intake device for a multiple cylinder engine including a SCV port, for reducing a difference in cylinder condition between cylinders in a fuel economy area.SOLUTION: Intake ports 17, 18 include the second port 18 in each cylinder 11 constructed so that the flow amount of gas passing therethrough is adjusted via a SCV 80. An intake passage 30 includes a plurality of independent passages 39 connected to the intake ports 17, 18, respectively, a surge tank 38 to which the plurality of independent passages 39 are connected in a row shape, and first and second branch passages 44b, 44c connected at their downstream ends to the surge tank 38. The first and second branch passages 44b, 44c are connected at a space in a cylinder row direction, and each connected to the surge tank 38 on extension lines L1, L2 extending from the upstream end of the independent passage 392 connected to the second port 18 to the opposite side to each cylinder 11 in viewing the surge tank 38 in a cylinder axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
