Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rectangular pieces formed with a thin region at each of them to be engaged with each other and at the same time to restrict separation of the rectangular pieces under their engaged states.SOLUTION: A strip-shaped piece 20 acting as one example of a rectangular piece comprises a body part 21 and a male engagement part 22 arranged at one end side of the body part 21. The other end side is provided with a female engagement part 23 engaged with the male engagement part 22 of the other strip-shaped piece 20. The body part 21 is also provided with several swirl grooves 26 formed by removing its part in its thickness direction. Each of the body part 21, the male engagement part 22 and a female engagement part 23 of the strip-shaped piece 20 is manufactured by a double side etching and each of the several swirl grooves 26 is manufactured by a single-sided etching. When the two strip-shaped pieces 20 are connected to each other, the male engagement part 22 and the female engagement part 23 are engaged to each other under application of protrusions formed at each of the wall surfaces of the male engagement part 22 and the female engagement part 23 by the double side etching.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
