Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a purge control valve 45 from damaging fuel-based components 39, 53 in vehicle collision, with purge responsiveness of evaporated fuel enhanced by the purge control valve 45.SOLUTION: An engine includes: fuel-based components 39, 53 provided on a cylinder head 7; a purge control valve 45 provided in a suction passage on a downstream side with respect to a throttle valve 17, and configured to control an amount of evaporated fuel to be purged; and suction pipes 51, 52 constituting the suction passage on a downstream side of the throttle valve, and extending in a cylinder-row direction.
