Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which rises reaction efficiency of a methanation reaction more than heretofore by homogenizing reaction temperature in a reaction tube.SOLUTION: A reactor 5 is provided with one or a plurality of reaction tubes 5a in which an input gas X5 is subjected to methanation reaction in the presence of a catalyst 5b. The reaction tubes 5a are adjacently disposed in a shell 5c. One end (upper end) is an inlet port P1 of an input gas X5, and the other end is an outlet port P2 of a gas X6 after methanation. The reaction tube 5a has two inlet ports P3, P4 of the input gas X5 positioned and set at intermediate parts in addition to the one end so as to homogenize a reaction temperature distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
