Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection member and an optical connector that are capable of, while suppressing an increase in cost, simply positioning an end face of a glass optical fiber and a collimator lens relative to each other without damaging the glass optical fiber.SOLUTION: An optical connection member comprises a cylindrical holder 11, a collimator lens 12 that is housed in a housing part 11c formed on one end of the holder, and an adapter 14 that is inserted through an insertion hole 11a formed on the other end of the holder and holds one end of an optical fiber 13. The collimator lens and/or the adapter is made to come into contact with an abutment surface formed by providing recesses 11e to an outer periphery of the vicinity of the housing part in the holder, thereby performing positioning between an end face of the optical fiber and the collimator lens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】コストの上昇を抑制しつつ、ガラス製光ファイバを破損させることなく、ガラス製光ファイバの端面とコリメータレンズとを簡単に位置決めすることのできる光接続部材及び光コネクタを提供する。【解決手段】円筒形状を有するホルダ11と、ホルダの一端に形成された収容部11cに収容されるコリメータレンズ12と、ホルダの他端に形成された挿入孔11aから挿入され、光ファイバ13の一端を保持するアダプタ14と、を備え、ホルダの収容部近傍の外周に陥没部11eを設けることで形成される当接面に、コリメータレンズ及び/又はアダプタを当接させて、光ファイバの端面とコリメータレンズとの位置決めを行う。【選択図】図3
