Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device which enables reduction of the number of components to simplify the structure.SOLUTION: A collision detection device is mounted on a vehicle 1 including a bumper cover 2 fixed to a vehicle body 100 or a vehicle body component 101 connected to the vehicle body 100 by bolts 14. The collision detection device includes: deformation detection parts 20 capable of detecting deformation of the bumper cover 2; and a signal processing part 30 which determines that objects 50, 62 collide with the bumper cover 2 on the basis of signals input from the deformation detection parts 20. Each deformation detection part 20 is attached in a state where the bolt 14 for fixing the bumper cover 2 to the vehicle body 100 or the vehicle body component 101 connected to the vehicle body 100 is inserted into the deformation detection part 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 31
