Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism control agent that is excellent in microorganism control performance, in particular, antibacterial performance, algicidal performance or biofilm formation suppression performance, and, has suppressed elution of metal, and an acaricidal composition, an acarid control member and an acaricidal method that are excellent in performance of suppressing occurrence and increase of acarids.SOLUTION: A microorganism control agent of the present invention includes platinum particles and particles of metal other than platinum. Further, in the microorganism control agent, the platinum particles and the metallic particles may be carried on a substrate. The microorganism control agent has excellent antibacterial performance and can suppress also elution of metal. An acaricidal composition of the present invention includes platinum particles and particles of metal other than platinum. The acaricidal composition is excellent in performance of suppressing occurrence or increase of acarids.SELECTED DRAWING: None
