Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a modified body with larger diameter, for example, diameter φ 3-5 m than before.SOLUTION: A rod and a construction monitor are a completely independent triple tube structure consisting of an inner tube, a middle tube and an outer tube. The inner tube is a flow path for solidifying material slurry which communicates with a nozzle of the construction monitor. The middle tube is a down-the-hole hammer driving air flow path communicating with a drive section of a down-the-hole hammer. The outer tube is an air flow path communicating with the nozzle of the construction monitor, and functions as an air flow path for an improvement body formation, an air flow path for preventing clogging of an air nozzle for the improvement body formation, and an air flow path for preventing collapse of a boring wall.
