Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the ion permeability (sensitivity).SOLUTION: A mass spectroscope includes an ionization unit 2 for ionizing a sample, an ion guide 3 having at least four rod-like electrodes and transporting ions, a mass spectrometry unit 4 performing mass separation and having at least four rod-like electrodes, a detection unit 5 that detects ions that have passed through the mass spectrometry unit 4, and a control unit 8 controlling a voltage applied to the ion guide 3, and the control unit 8 varies the passing energy of the ions passing through the ion guide 3 according to the characteristics of the target ions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
