Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyethylene resin that comprises an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and the like and is excellent in crosslinking, insulation, and cost, and a solar cell sealing material and a solar cell module including a polyethylene resin produced by the method.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a polyethylene resin that comprises an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer obtained by polymerization using a catalyst system containing the following components (A) and (B). Component (A): a crosslinked metallocene compound having an indenyl skeleton having a substituent. Component (B): a boron compound that reacts with the component (A) to form an ion pair, where the boron compound has a thermal decomposition temperature of less than 200°C at which a weight change occurs in an Natmosphere.SELECTED DRAWING: None
