Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: reduction in light leaking from a light guide part to the outside of the light guide part is not sufficiently examined.SOLUTION: In a photoelectric conversion element including a light guide part, a first plane, a second plane, and a third plane each include a first portion of the light guide part, and a second portion of the light guide part that is surrounded by the first portion and has a lower refractive index than that of the first portion; on the first plane, the length of the width of the second portion is a first length; on the second plane, the length of the width of the second portion is a second length; on the third plane, the length of the width of the second portion is a third length; the second length is shorter than both the first length and third length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
