Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head which can reduce retention of air bubbles in a periphery of a paired electrode in a structure for suppressing adhesion of scorch on a surface of a heater by electric field formation between an electrode in a periphery of a heater and the paired electrode.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head, in which a plurality of discharge ports for discharging a liquid are aligned, includes: a plurality of liquid chambers which are arranged by corresponding to the plurality of discharge ports respectively and are partitioned mutually by flow passage walls in an alignment direction; a gap which is arranged on at least one of the two flow passage walls corresponding to the liquid chamber, and communicates with the adjacent liquid chamber in the alignment direction; an energy generation element which is arranged in the liquid chamber and generates energy for discharging the liquid; an element peripheral electrode which is arranged in the liquid chamber and is arranged in a periphery of the energy generation element; a paired electrode arranged in the liquid chamber; and a supply port communicating with the plurality of liquid chambers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
