Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery by which the corrosion of a battery case can be suppressed by suppressing the alloying of LiAl even in the event of a short circuit of a battery case and a negative electrode.SOLUTION: A battery of the present invention comprises: an electrode body 80 having a positive electrode 82 and a negative electrode 84; an electrolyte solution containing lithium ions; and an aluminum battery case 50 in which the electrode body 80 and the electrolyte solution are encased. The battery case 50 has an inner wall face including a bottom face 52A disposed under the electrode body 80 and a side face 52B standing upright from the bottom face 52A so as to surround the electrode body 80.
