Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch detection device capable of preventing a piezoelectric element from falling into a state of being exposed to humidity and droplets and preventing the function of a piezoelectric element from deteriorating.SOLUTION: There is provided a touch detection device A comprising a detection part 4 including a touch part 16 to be touched by an object, a piezoelectric element 6 that causes the touch part to oscillate, a detection circuit 14 including a drive circuit 24 and a touch determination circuit 22a, and electric wires 18a, 18b respectively covered with sheaths 34a, 34b and connecting the piezoelectric element to the detection circuit. The piezoelectric element is covered with a potting layer 38 made of a resin via a specified inner space V1. The electric wires are in a state of penetrating into the potting layer with each of one end parts thereof connected to the piezoelectric element, while penetrating segments penetrating into the potting layer are provided with non-covered segments 36a, 36b stripped of the sheaths.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
