Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of operating a global electronic shutter while improving a saturation charge amount.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus performs a global electronic shutter operation in which exposure periods of a plurality of pixels coincide. During a first period in which charges are accumulated by a photoelectric conversion part of at least one pixel, signals based on charges held by holding parts of the plurality of pixels are sequentially output to an output line. During a second period after completing to output the signals from the plurality of pixels, the holding parts of the plurality of pixels hold charges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
