Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit capable of improving waterproof performance by preventing entering of water from a gap between a first lens and a swaging part.SOLUTION: In a lens unit 1, a first lens 11, of a plurality of lenses housed in a resin lens holder 7, closest to an object side L1 is fixed by a swaging part 77 that protrudes radially inward at an end of the lens holder 7 and covers an outer peripheral side end 115 of the first lens 11 from the object side L1. The first lens 11 is a plastic lens. A first surface 111 on the object side L1 of the first lens 11 is formed with a rough surface 113 having irregularities 113a in a part overlapping with the swaging part 77. The swaging part 77 bites into the irregularities 113a.
