Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for a continuously variable transmission, which can satisfy the seizing resistance, the abrasion resistance, and the fatigue life required for the oil for a continuously variable transmission, and can enhance fuel economy and a coefficient of intermetallic friction.SOLUTION: The lubricant composition for a continuously variable transmission includes (A) a lubricant base oil, (B) a boric acid ester from 25 mass ppm or more to 500 mass ppm or less based on a total amount of the lubricant composition, (C) a phosphoric acid from 100 mass ppm or more to 750 mass ppm or less based on the total amount of the lubricant composition, (D) a poly(meth)acrylate having an average molecular weight of 100,000 or less, and the lubricant composition has the kinetic viscosity of 25 mm/s or less at 40°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
