PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor in which a fence to be installed outside a handrail is formed with high rigidity, whether the fence is new or existing and is arranged in a width of the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor comprises: a plurality of footsteps 5, connected in an endless manner, which move between platforms; a handrail 6, provided at a side in an advancing direction of the plurality of footsteps, which has a plurality of columns 11 fixed to a main body frame, a handrail panel 12 and an arm rail frame 16 supported on the plurality of columns, and an outer deck 14 covering the side of the arm rail frame; a moving arm rail 7, installed through the arm rail frame above the handrail, which moves in synchronization with the footsteps; and a fence 8 arranged outside the handrail. The fence is arranged in a vertical projection plane of the outer deck, a lower end of which is fixed to the outer deck, with a fixing fitting, on the vertical projection plane at a position where the columns are installed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】欄干の外側に設置されるフェンスを、新設既設を問わず、剛性の高いものとし、かつ乗客コンベア幅内に配置した乗客コンベアを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の乗客コンベアは、無端状に連結されて乗降口間を移動する複数の踏段５と、該複数の踏段の進行方向側方に設けられ、本体枠に固定された複数の柱１１、該複数の柱に支持された欄干パネル１２と手摺枠１６、および、該手摺枠の側方を覆う外デッキ１４を有する欄干６と、該欄干の上部の手摺枠を介して取り付けられ、前記踏段と同期してに移動する移動手摺７と、前記欄干の外側に配置されるフェンス８と、を備え、前記フェンスは、前記外デッキの垂直投影面内に配置されるとともに、その下端が、前記柱の設置位置の垂直投影面上で前記外デッキに固定金具で固定されるものとした。【選択図】図２
