Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide reduction apparatus capable of holding a carbon dioxide on an electrode and efficiently supplying the carbon dioxide to a reaction field and recovering a produced material from the reaction field.SOLUTION: A carbon oxide reduction apparatus includes an anode electrode, a liquid holding film capable of holding an electrolyte, a proton transmission film and a cathode electrode. The cathode electrode includes a metal capable of reducing a carbon dioxide, and further includes a metal-containing member having a hole that allows a passage of a carbon dioxide in a thickness direction and an adsorbent on a surface of the metal-containing member on a proton transmission film side, the adsorbent capable of absorbing a carbon dioxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
