Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer roller with smaller rubber hardness and being flexible, and moreover, with a diameter of a foam cell smaller than conventional ones, and to provide a manufacturing method of the transfer roller.SOLUTION: A transfer roller 1 includes a foam body of a conductive rubber composition including: rubber; a crosslinking component; an OBSH as a foaming agent; and a sodium hydrogen carbonate 0.25-2.5 pts.mass with regard to the OBSH 1 pt.mass, and has Asker C type hardness of 25-35°, and an average cell diameter of foam cells of 120 μm or less. A manufacturing method includes a step of forming the conductive rubber composition into a cylinder shape and foaming by a single step while maintaining a temperature at 120-140°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
