Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data generation method that can simultaneously obtain data for an etching resist and prediction data of a finish circuit pattern and is excellent also in having simple generation process and versatility.SOLUTION: A method of generating data for an etching resist for a printed wiring board and prediction data of a finish circuit pattern, in which an outside virtual line formed by combining points on a circumference of circles distanced most outside in a direction orthogonal to a partial line part of a target contour data connecting centers of circles having an apex of target contour data formed by combining many apexes as a center and an inside virtual line formed by combining points distanced in most inside are acquired, data for the etching resist are generated using the outside virtual line, and prediction data of the finish circuit pattern is generated using the inside virtual line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
