Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of installing a heat shielding material in the vicinity of a service pipe that is located in a gas turbine support material and includes radial inner and outer mounting members.SOLUTION: A service pipe assembly for a support material 82 of a gas turbine engine, includes: a service pipe 96 including a radial outer mounting member 88 and a radial inner mounting member 90; and a heat shielding material 94 extending from the radial outer mounting member 88 toward the radial inner mounting member 90. The heat shielding material 94 is fixed to the radial outer mounting member 88. A device and method are provided for lowering an operation temperature of the gas turbine engine exposed to the service pipe assembly by using a skirt 98 and the radial outer mounting member 88.
