PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer configured so that both of a cartridge of a large capacity and a cartridge of a small capacity are appropriately fitted to a carriage and states of the cartridges fitted to the carriage are stably maintained.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises moving bodies 50 which can move in a longitudinal direction of a fitting portion 12 of a carriage 10, and press cartridges 40a and 40b fitted into the fitting portion 12 from back so that a connection portion 12 is electrically connected to connectors 15. The moving bodies 50 are configured so as to press only rear surfaces of protruding parts 42 of ink tanks 41, with respect to the cartridge 40b of a small capacity and to press the rear surfaces of the protruding parts 42 of the ink tanks 41 and the rear surfaces of the ink tanks 41 toward the connectors 15 and 15 respectively, with respect to the cartridge 40a of a large capacity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】大容量および小容量カートリッジの両方を適切にキャリッジに装着するとともに、各カートリッジがキャリッジに装着された状態を安定的に保持するようにする。【解決手段】プリンタ１は、キャリッジ１０の装着部１２の前後方向に移動可能であって、装着部１２内に装着されたカートリッジ４０ａ，４０ｂを、接続部１２がコネクタ１５と電気的に接続するように後方から押圧する移動体５０を備えている。この移動体５０は、小容量カートリッジ４０ｂにあっては、インクタンク４１の凸部４２後面のみを、また大容量カートリッジ４０ａにあっては、インクタンク４１の凸部４２後面およびインクタンク４１の後面をそれぞれコネクタ１５，１５に向けて押圧するように構成されている。【選択図】図５
