Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device for easily acquiring optical coefficient information of a subject.SOLUTION: The processing device includes: first acquisition means for acquiring distribution of first characteristic information of a subject based on an electric signal obtained by receiving acoustic waves propagating from the subject irradiated with light; second acquisition means for acquiring a feature amount of the distribution of the first characteristic information of the subject; third acquisition means for acquiring information showing a correspondence relation between an optical coefficient and the feature amount of the distribution of the first characteristic information; and fourth acquisition means for acquiring an optical coefficient of the subject by using the feature amount of the distribution of the first characteristic information of the subject and information showing the correspondence relation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
