Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external force of one magnetic reading part from being transmitted to the other magnetic reading part via a flexible cable in a magnetic card reader.SOLUTION: A magnetic card reader includes: magnetic reading parts 24A, 24B for reading magnetic data recorded in a magnetic card C1; and a flexible cable 42 for transferring signals from the magnetic reading parts 24A, 24B to a signal processing circuit side, respectively. The flexible cable 42 is provided with branching parts 62, 63 branched from a main body part 61 and connected to the magnetic reading parts 24A, 24B, respectively. The branching parts 62, 63 include first and second main body side end parts 62A, 63A extending in parallel to each other along a card running-path 23.
