Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, and an image processing program that can suppress a failure in removal of a ground color even when a variation in reading sensitivity is changed.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: a ground color removing part that removes, from an image on a document, colors with higher density as a ground color, as a variation in sensitivity is larger in a document reader that reads the image on the document from the document; and an image output part that outputs the image of the document from which the ground color is removed by the ground color removing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
