| Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of refilling replenishment cartridges that decreases waste and labor and provides filled replenishment cartridges meeting the toner and carrier fill weight specifications for a particular electrophotographic machine.SOLUTION: A method and system of refilling replenisher containers 200 for an electrophotographic machine is described. A replenisher cartridge 200 for refill is received and the weight of the replenisher cartridge 200 is determined. The weight of residual material in the replenisher cartridge 200 is determined. The weight of carrier particles in the weight of residual material is determined through X-ray image analysis of the replenisher cartridge. The weight of carrier particles in the weight of residual materials and the weight of residual toner is determined. An amount of toner and carrier is added to the replenisher cartridge 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
