Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new coating capable of improving scratch resistance, weather resistance and adhesion to a substrate furthermore in comparison with a conventional coating, and containing cuprous oxide; and to provide a manufacture method thereof.SOLUTION: A thermal spray material formed by adding powder of copper oxide to powder of an Al alloy, a Zn alloy, a Ni alloy, an Fe alloy or an amorphous alloy is sprayed, and the copper oxide is reduced to cuprous oxide in the thermal spray material by spraying, to thereby manufacture a metal sprayed coating containing cuprous oxide on a substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
