Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device capable of further reducing power consumption as compared with the related art.SOLUTION: The motor control device for controlling drive of a motor comprises: an inverter bridge-connected by upper and lower switching elements; a booster circuit for boosting and outputting a power supply voltage; a boost control unit for controlling boosting of the booster circuit; and a motor control circuit for controlling the upper switching element to be in an on state or an off state based on a first drive signal generated by a boosted voltage output from the booster circuit, and controlling the lower switching element to be in an on state or an off state based on a second drive signal generated by the power supply voltage. The motor control unit sets the upper switching element to the off state and the lower stage switching element to the on state during the braking control of the motor. The boost control unit stops boosting of the booster circuit during braking control of the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
