Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a bit for boring, capable of making a position of a rod-like member provided in the center of a tip surface of a hollow body part highly accurate, and with this, boring mud filled in a tap hole of a blast furnace with good accuracy, and to provide a bit for boring.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a bit 10 for boring, for boring mud 50 filled in a tap hole of a blast furnace includes: a step of preparing casting molds 70 and 72 provided with recesses 70a, 70b and 72a corresponding to each shape of a hollow body part 12 and a rod-like member 14 of the bit 10 for boring; a step of integrally molding by casting the body part 12 and the rod-like member 14 of the bit 10 for boring by using the casting molds 70 and 72; and a step of fixing a plurality of projections 16 to around the rod-like member 14 on a tip surface 12a of the body part 12 in the body part 12 and the rod-like member 14 integrally molded by casting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】中空形状の本体部分の先端面の中心に設けられる棒状部材の位置を精度の高いものとすることができ、このことにより溶鉱炉の出銑口に充填されているマッドを精度良く穿孔することができる穿孔用ビットの製造方法および穿孔用ビットを提供する。【解決手段】溶鉱炉の出銑口に充填されているマッド50を穿孔するための穿孔用ビット10の製造方法は、穿孔用ビット10の中空形状の本体部分12および棒状部材14の各形状に対応する凹部70a、70b、72aが設けられた鋳型70、72を準備する工程と、鋳型70、72を用いることにより穿孔用ビット10の本体部分12および棒状部材14を鋳造により一体的に成型する工程と、鋳造により一体的に成型された本体部分12および棒状部材14のうち本体部分12の先端面12aにおける棒状部材14の周囲に複数の突起16を取り付ける工程とを備えている。【選択図】図1
