Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device capable of suppressing a temperature rise of an image formation part by suppressing a projection image becoming dark.SOLUTION: When light source lighting is stabilized after a predetermined time elapses from starting the light source lighting, a main control part 71 detects a luminance value γ of input image data (S2). When luminance value γ of input image data is equal to or more than a first threshold value α(γ≥α)(Yes of S3) or equal to or less than a second threshold value β(γ≤β )(Yes of S4), a light source control part is controlled (S5) so that the power supplied to the light source is reduced. On the other hand, when the luminance value γ of the detected input image data is smaller than the first threshold value α, and larger than the second threshold value β (β<γ<α) (No of S3, No of S4), the power is supplied to the light source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
