Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that corrosion resistivity is different according to a coating method even in the case of the same material.SOLUTION: In a coating method for coating a compressor blade for an engine, actuation gas containing nitrogen is introduced into a chamber of an arc ion plating device, and discharge is generated by using a titanium-aluminum alloy as a cathode in the chamber, and a coating is formed by applying an initial bias voltage in the range of -32 to -42 V in comparison with the cathode to a substrate of a compressor blade introduced into the chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
