Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device that can appropriately ventilate inside of a car not only during a normal operation but even when power failure or emergency stop, etc. occurs.SOLUTION: An elevator device includes: a ventilation hole 2 for ventilating inside of a car 10; a power source 11 for feeding electric power to the ventilation hole 2; an atmospheric pressure control device 1 for opening/closing the ventilation hole 2 and controlling atmospheric pressure in the car 10; a ventilation hole monitoring device 3 for opening/closing the ventilation hole 2 independently of the atmospheric pressure control device 1; a control contact 13 for connecting the power source 11 and the ventilation hole 2 with each other and connecting the atmospheric pressure control device 1 and the ventilation hole 2 with each other; a monitoring contact 12 for connecting the power source 11 and the ventilation hole 2 with each other and connecting the ventilation hole monitoring device 1 and the ventilation hole 2 with each other; and a ventilation hole opening/closing detection section 8 for detecting opening/closing of the ventilation hole 2. The monitoring contact 12 and the control contact 13 are connected in series.
