Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic work device and an expansion/contraction control method capable of suppressing increase of a weight of the telescopic mechanism, performing positioning at a tip portion of the telescopic mechanism by suppressing a deflection amount at the tip portion of the telescopic mechanism, and further preventing loosening of a wire for contracting the telescopic mechanism.SOLUTION: A telescopic mechanism 1 is composed of a multistage cylinder units 31 composed of an outer cylinder 32 and inner cylinders 33-36, and a position adjustment wire 3 is wound between a tip base 2 mounted on a tip portion 1a and a wire take-up mechanism 5 disposed on a fixing portion 4. By taking up the position adjustment wire 3 by the wire take-up mechanism 5, the telescopic mechanism 1 can be contracted, and the telescopic mechanism 1 can be expanded to a desired length by supplying the compressed air of a prescribed pressure to the telescopic mechanism 1 from a pressure adjustment means 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】テレスコピック機構の重量増加を抑えることができ、テレスコピック機構の先端部における撓み量を抑えて、テレスコピック機構の先端部における位置決めを行うことができ、また、テレスコピック機構を縮短させるワイヤの弛みを防止できる伸縮式作業装置およびテレスコピック機構の伸縮制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】テレスコピック機構1は、外筒32と内筒33〜36からなる多段のシリンダユニット31から構成されており、先端部1aに取付けた先端ベース2と固定部4に設けたワイヤ巻取り機構5との間に位置調整用ワイヤ3が巻架されている。ワイヤ巻取り機構5で位置調整用ワイヤ3の巻取りを行うことで、テレスコピック機構1の縮短動を行え、圧力調整手段8から所定圧の圧縮空気をテレスコピック機構1に供給することで、テレスコピック機構1を所望の長さ伸長させることができる。【選択図】図1
