Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide automatic link following and assisted navigation to support a user in seeing relevant parts of a hypervideo in an appropriate order during hypervideo playback, and to provide visualizations of playback sequences of video segments in hypervideo.SOLUTION: A computerized system comprising a central processing unit, a display device and a memory generates a playback plan for an automated playback of a hypervideo including a plurality of video segments linked a plurality of links. An automated playback comprises automatically following the plurality of links linking the plurality of video segments such that at least some of the plurality of video segments are played in a predetermined sequence. The plurality of links are followed based on the playback plan.
