PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and safely update reliable site information following change in a domain name in a printer which holds the domain name of a print server as reliable site information and processes a cross domain request.SOLUTION: A printer includes holding means which holds destination information of a print server trusted as a request destination, determines whether or not the destination information of the print server designated in the printing request matches the destination information held by the holding means when receiving the printing request, requests access to the print server indicated by the destination information held by the holding means when it is determined that the destination information does not match, and updates the destination information held by the holding means with the destination information of the print server designated in the printing request when receiving the same destination as the destination information of the print server designated in the printing request as a redirect destination as a response to the request.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】信頼サイト情報としてプリントサーバのドメイン名を保持し、クロスドメインリクエストを処理するプリンタにおいて、ドメイン名を変更に伴う信頼サイト情報の更新を自動で安全に行う。【解決手段】印刷装置は、リクエスト先として信頼されたプリントサーバの宛先情報を保持する保持手段を備え、印刷リクエストを受信した際に、当該印刷リクエストにて指定されたプリントサーバの宛先情報が、前記保持手段にて保持された宛先情報に一致するか否かを判定し、宛先情報が一致しないと判定された場合、前記保持手段にて保持された宛先情報が示すプリントサーバへアクセスをリクエストし、当該リクエストの応答として、前記印刷リクエストにて指定されたプリントサーバの宛先情報と同じ宛先をリダイレクト先として受け付けた場合、前記保持手段にて保持された宛先情報を、前記印刷リクエストにて指定されたプリントサーバの宛先情報にて更新する。【選択図】 図６
