Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting method of an aluminium material capable of melting surely the aluminium material, and improving greatly a metal recovery rate; and to provide a melting unit of the aluminium material.SOLUTION: A molten salt flux layer 20 comprising molten salt flux containing at least KCl, NaCl and cryolite is formed on molten aluminum 3, and an aluminium material 1 is fed on the molten salt flux layer 20, to thereby melt at least a part of the aluminium material 1, while the aluminium material 1 is settling down in the molten salt flux layer 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
