Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional coupler capable of obtaining excellent characteristics even when a sub wave guide is made to be a minor axis.SOLUTION: A length of a sub wave guide 2 is made to be shorter than a length of a main wave guide 1 in a guide axis direction. Both ends in the guide axis direction are made to be short-circuited and are connected to the main wave guide 1 through a coupling hole 5. Inside the sub wave guide 2, projections 6a, 6b formed along the guide axis direction from at least one end of short-circuited ends 11a, 11b are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】副導波管を短軸化しても良好な特性を得ることのできる方向性結合器を得る。【解決手段】副導波管2を、主導波管1の管軸方向長さより短く、かつ、管軸方向両端が短絡されると共に、結合孔5によって主導波管1と接続された構成とする。また、副導波管2の内側に、短絡端11a,11bのうち少なくとも一方端から管軸方向に沿って形成された突起部6a,6bを設ける。【選択図】図1
