Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square secondary battery having a high volume energy density and excellent in reliability.SOLUTION: An electrode body including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate comprises a positive electrode tab part 4c in an end part of a sealing plate 2 side. A positive electrode collector 6 including a collector body part 6a and a collector connection part 6b1 is electrically connected to the positive electrode plate. A pressure-sensitive current interruption mechanism 40 includes a conductive member 41 having an opening on the electrode body side, a deformation plate 42 sealing the opening, and the collector body part 6a arranged on the electrode body side of the deformation plate 42 and connected to the deformation plate 42.
