Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables concurrent execution of opening work of a reactor pressure vessel and used fuel carry-out work, and a reactor pressure vessel opening method that can reduce the risk of radiation exposure.SOLUTION: The method includes: securing a work space that allows opening work of the reactor pressure vessel to be performed in parallel with the work for carrying out used fuel from a fuel storage pool; setting a radiation shielding container in an equipment temporary placing pool and forming a first through hole in a throttle plug from inside of the radiation shielding container; providing a radiation shielding body on an upper part of a reactor well; dismantling the equipment in the reactor well through the first through hole and carrying out the same to the outside of the radiation shielding container; and after all pieces of equipment in the reactor well are dismantled and carried out to the outside of the radiation shielding container, making a second through hole in a pressure vessel head and inserting a camera through the second through hole to inspect inside of the pressure vessel head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 27 【課題】原子炉圧力容器を開放作業と使用済み燃料搬出作業を並行して行える方法または被ばくの危険性を低減できる原子炉圧力容器を開放する方法を提供する。【解決手段】原子炉圧力容器の開放する作業を燃料貯蔵プールから使用済み燃料搬出作業と並行して行える作業空間を確保する。機器仮置きプール内に放射線遮へい容器を設置し、放射線遮へい容器内からスロットルプラグに第1貫通孔を形成し、原子炉ウェルの上部に放射線遮へい体を設け、第1貫通孔を介して原子炉ウェル内の機器を解体し、放射線遮へい容器外に搬出する。原子炉ウェル内の機器をすべて解体し、放射線遮へい容器外に搬出された後、圧力容器ヘッドに第2貫通孔をあけ、第2貫通孔からカメラを挿入し、圧力容器ヘッド内を調査する。【選択図】図27
