PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse member for a sliding door capable of making the space inside hard to be seen from a penetration place, in the transverse member for the sliding door arranged so as to communicate the inside-outside of a space for arranging opening-closing means via its penetration place, by penetrating a member for connecting the sliding door and its opening-closing means.SOLUTION: In a lintel 1 being a transverse member for a siding door, a groove 23 is formed on an undersurface, and a fitting connection material passage 24 is penetratingly formed in a bottom surface of this groove 23. The lintel 1 is provided in a storage part 11 of opening-closing means 3 of the sliding door 2. The sliding door 2 is suspended by the opening-closing means 3 via a fitting connection material 4. In this case, a plate-like part 38 of the fitting connection material 4 penetrates through the passage 24, and an upper end part of the sliding door 2 is put in the groove 23 of the lintel 1. The passage 24 is arranged on the upper side more than the groove 23, and a width of the passage 24 is formed smaller than a thickness of the sliding door 2, so that the inside of the storage part 11 can be made hard to be seen when looking up the lintel 1 in a place of not arranging the sliding door 2 of the lintel 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】引戸とその開閉手段とを接続する部材が貫通され、その貫通箇所を介して開閉手段が配置される空間の内外が連通されるよう配置される引戸用横部材であって、貫通箇所から空間内を見え難くすることができる引戸用横部材の提供。【解決手段】引戸用横部材である鴨居１は、下面に溝２３が形成され、この溝２３の底面に建具接続材通路２４が貫通形成されている。鴨居１は、引戸２の開閉手段３の収容部１１に設けられる。開閉手段３には、建具接続材４を介して引戸２が吊り下げられる。この際、建具接続材４の板状部３８が前記通路２４を貫通し、引戸２の上端部が鴨居１の溝２３に入れられている。前記通路２４が溝２３よりも上側に配置されると共に、前記通路２４の幅が引戸２の厚さよりも小さく形成されることで、鴨居１の引戸２が配置されていない箇所において、鴨居１を見上げた際に収容部１１内を見え難くすることができる。【選択図】図２
